Here, In right angled βˆ†ABC, right angled at C, AB = ?, AC = 5 cm, BC = 12 cm By Pythagoras theorem, 〖𝐴𝐡〗^2 = 〖𝐴𝐢〗^2 + 〖𝐡𝐢〗^2 〖𝐴𝐡〗^2 = γ€–(5)γ€—^2 + γ€–(12)γ€—^2 〖𝐴𝐡〗^2 = 25 + 144 〖𝐴𝐡〗^2= 169 〖𝐴𝐡〗^2 = γ€–(13)γ€—^2 Cancelling squares 𝐴𝐡 = 13 cm Therefore, 𝑨𝑩 = 13 cm
