We can say that Natalya was continuously successful in maintaining an upper hand during her arguments with Lomov as she was able to answer every query and present an argument defeating the one presented by Lomov. Also, we can see her upper hand by looking at the following example -

When Natalya and Lomov were arguing about their dogs, Natalya stated that the breed of dog she had was cheaper, better and could run faster and also, she didn’t lose her cool while presenting these arguments.
