Validate the given statement with reference to baby seagull’s fear.

‘Fear doesn’t exist anywhere else other than one’s mind.’

(His First Flight- Two Stories about Flying)

Answer:

The given statement can be justified by looking at the following points -

  1. The baby seagull saw his family fly but still couldn’t convince himself that he would not fall down. This fear gripped his mind and overpowered any sense of assurance or example.
  2. He could not take his first flight as he believed that his wings won’t be able to support his own body weight. He was too scared to even try.
