Ex 8.1, 1 List five rational numbers between: (iii) (−4)/5 and (−2)/3 First, we make the numbers with same denominator (−4)/5 & (−2)/3 Common denominator = LCM of 3 & 5 = 3 × 5 = 15 So, (−4)/5 = (−2)/3 = Now, we need to find 5 rational numbers, So, we multiply the number by 6/6 (−12)/15 × 6/6 = (−10)/15 × 6/6 = So, 5 rational numbers between them are (−𝟕𝟏)/𝟗𝟎, (−𝟕𝟎)/𝟗𝟎, (−𝟔𝟗)/𝟗𝟎, (−𝟔𝟖)/𝟗𝟎, (−𝟔𝟕)/𝟗𝟎
