Ex 11.1, 6 A bird flies 1 kilometer in one minute. Can you express the distance covered by the bird in terms of its flying time in minutes? (Use t for flying time in minutes.) Here, Distance flied in 1 minute = 1 km Distance filed in 2 minutes = 1 × 2 Distance flied in 3 minutes = 1 × 3 So, Distance flied by bird = 1 × time flied Writing time flied = t minutes Distance flied = t km where t = time flied in minutes
