Procedure after paying challan in TDS

When we use deposited challan we get a receipt. On this receipt following details are mention

  1. Date of challan
  2. BSR Code
  3. Challan

 

What is BSR Code?

  1. It means Branch Serial no.
  2. It is seven Digit No.
  3. It common for every Challan of one branch

 

What is Challan No.?

  1. It is unique No. of challan
  2. It is of five digit and unique for every challan

We have to update these details in our TDS Computation and TDS Return.
