Answer

Let’s check do each line one by one

1. cricketer in India. He has play for

This is present perfect tense.

Here,

Since played is third form of verb. Hence, played is the correct answer.

We can also check the options and see which word looks better.

Thus, option (b) is correct.

2. more than 20 years on the Country

Now, let us check our options

  • ( A) on – more than 20 years on the Country.  This is the same option. So this is incorrect
  • (B) of – more than 20 years of the Country. Generally, of is used as a part of the whole. Like, 20% discount of the total bill. Here, 20 years and country are not a part and whole. Thus, this option is incorrect
  • (C) for –  more than 20 years for the Country. Since has played for the country. Thus, this option is correct
  • (D) with – more than 20 years with the Country.   Since he has not played with country, he has played with his teammates, not the full country. Thus, this option is incorrect

Thus, option (c) is correct.

3. He retired from the games

We can also check the options and see which word looks better.

Thus, option (a) is correct.
