  • (d) was- used with past tense

Since the sentence is talking about many individuals, ‘are’ will be used.

  • (b) been - not used with present tense
  • (c) being -  this is correct
  • (d) aving- not relevant

Since the sentence is in present continuous tense , ‘being’ will be used.

So, the correct answer is “(c)-being”.

  • (d) own  -  this is correct

Since the sentence is talking about people being alone , ‘own’ will be used.
