Convert 1 1/2 as improper fraction

1 1/2   = 1 + 1/2

           = (1 × 2 + 1)/2

           = (2 + 1)/2

           = 3/2

 

Convert 2 2/3 as improper fraction

       2 2/3 = 2 + 2/3

                = (2 × 3 + 2)/3

      = (6  +  2)/3

      = 8/3
