Ex 2.1, 8 - Chapter 2 Class 12 Inverse Trigonometric Functions - NCERT Find the principal value of cot-1 (√3) Let y = cot-1 (√3) cot y = √3 cot y = cot π/6 Range of principal value of cot−1 is (0,π) Hence, principal value is 𝝅/𝟔 Note: We know that tan 30 = 1/√3 So, cot 30 = √3 Theta = 30 = 30 x pi/180 = pi/6 Since √3 is positive, Principal value of theta is pi/6
