They are looking at two products and wondering which has a larger share of badam. Can you figure it out? Which product uses a smaller proportion of food chemicals?To find which one has a larger share of Badam, We find Percentage of Badam in each packet And, we calculate it by Percentage of Badam = (𝑨𝒎𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑩𝒂𝒅𝒂𝒎)/(𝑻𝒐𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝒘𝒆𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕) × 100 For DEF Brand It has 12g Badam powder, and total weight 150g Thus, Percentage of Badam = (𝐴𝑚𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝐵𝑎𝑑𝑎𝑚)/(𝑇𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝑤𝑒𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡) × 100 = 𝟏𝟐/𝟏𝟓𝟎 × 100 = 12/3 × 2 = 4 × 2 = 8% For Zacni Brand It has 40g Badam powder, and total weight 400g Thus, Percentage of Badam = (𝐴𝑚𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝐵𝑎𝑑𝑎𝑚)/(𝑇𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝑤𝑒𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡) × 100 = 𝟒𝟎/𝟒𝟎𝟎 × 100 = 1/10 × 100 = 10% Thus, Zacni brand has larger share of Badam Now, our question is Which product uses a smaller proportion of food chemicals?
